United Kingdom Blue Ensign (UK Blue Ensign) 33 x 59" vintage

The Blue Ensign of the United Kingdom, used by British merchant vessels, some yacht clubs and/or masters of vessels in possession of a warrant issue by the Director of Naval Reserves, salvaged from an oceangoing ship.  It would have been the vessel's "flag of convenience" or "courtesy flag" and was flown by a vessel which actually called (visited) a port in the U.K., so it has been to the "homeland"! 

Synthetic material.  Screened & stitched.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  No rips or tears. Smells like a ship.

Approximately 33" x 59".

The Blue Ensign consists of a plain (undefaced) blue field with the Union Flag / Union Jack in the canton.
