signal flag T (Tango) 39 x 53" vintage

Vintage salvaged ship's international maritime signal flag, used by ships in communication.  The principal system of flags and codes is the Interational Code of Signals. 

Letter / code / radio name:  
Tango. Meaning: "Keep clear of me".  

Blazon: Tierced in pale gules, argent and azure.

Natural material.  Screened.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  Smells like a ship.
Details: 1 hole, tattered, 2 (non brass) metal hardware / toggles.

The signal flag consists of three equal vertical stripes, dividing the flag into thirds: red (hoist), white (center), blue (fly end).
