Vintage salvaged ship's international maritime signal flag, used by ships in communication.  The principal system of flags and codes is the Interational Code of Signals. 

Letter / code / radio name:  
Papa. Meaning: "All persons on board; the vessel is about to sail".  (aka The blue Peter)

Blazon: Azure, an inescutcheon argent.

Synthetic material.  Stitched.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  Smells like a ship.
