Vintage salvaged ship's international maritime signal flag, used by ships in communication.  The principal system of flags and codes is the Interational Code of Signals.

Oscar. Meaning: "Man overboard".

Natural material.  Screened.  Light patina, light soil, moderate wear.  Smells like a ship.

The signal flag consists of a yellow right angle triangle on the hoist side, meeting the hypotenuse of the inversed shape triangle in red.
