signal flag K (Kilo) 51 x 64"

Vintage salvaged ship's international maritime signal flag, used by ships in communication.  The principal system of flags and codes is the Interational Code of Signals. 

Letter / code / radio name:  
Kilo. Meaning: "I wish to communicate with you". 

Blazon: Per pale or and azure.

Natural material.  Stitched.  Moderate patina, moderate soil, light wear.  Smells like a ship.
Details: stain, brass hardware.

Approximately 51" x 64".

The signal flag consists of two vertical halves: yellow on the hoist and blue on the fly end.
