Salvaged ship's company or "house" flag, typically flown by the ship owner or management company operating the vessel.   Mediterranean Shipping Co., of Geneva, Switzerland (MSC). 

Synthetic material.  Screened.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  Smells like a ship.

The company flag consists of a central black circle on a yellow field.  Centered in the black circle are the lower case letters "m" on a wavy line above "s c".
