National flag of the State of Israel, salvaged from an oceangoing ship.  The Israeli flag would have been the vessel's "flag of convenience" or "courtesy flag" and was flown by a vessel which actually called (visited) a port in Israel, so it has been to the "homeland"! 

Synthetic material.  Screened.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  Smells like a ship.

Approximately 34" x 60".

The national flag consists of a blue hexagram, representing the Star of David, between two horizontal blue stripes on a white background.
