Dominica flag 40 x 60 " vintage

A vintage national flag of the Commonwealth of Dominica, salvaged from an oceangoing ship.  The Dominica flag would have been the vessel's "flag of convenience" or "courtesy flag" and was flown by a vessel which actually called (visited) a port in Dominica, so it has been to the "homeland"! 

Natural material.  Screened.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  No rips or tears. Smells like a ship.

Appx 40" x 60". 

The national flag features the Sisserou parrot, the national bird, which can be blue or purple and faces the hoist side.  It is a green field with a centered 3 banded color cross (yellow, black and white) with a red disc centered.  The 10 green five-pointed stars stand for the country's 10 parishes.
