Cambodian flag; Democratic Kampuchea 46 x 70" vintage (1976-1992)

A vintage national Cambodian flag of Democratic Kampuchea (1976-1992), salvaged from an oceangoing ship.  This flag would have been the vessel's "flag of convenience" or "courtesy flag" and was flown by a vessel which actually called (visited) a port in Cambodia, so it has been to the "homeland"! 

Natural material.  Stitched.  Light patina, light soil, more than moderate wear at hoist; note detail images.  Smells like a ship.

Appx 46" x 70". 

The national flag consists of a red field with the golden Angkor Wat at center.
