Angola flag 34 x 56" vintage

Country flag of Angola, salvaged from an oceangoing ship.  The national flag of the Republic of Angola flag would have been the vessel's "flag of convenience" or "courtesy flag" and was flown by a vessel which actually called (visited) a port in Angola, so it has been to the "homeland"! 

Natural material.  Screened.  Light patina, light soil, light wear.  Detail image shows stain on red field.  No rips or tears. Smells like a ship.

Appx 34" x 56". 

The national flag is split horizontally into a red half (upper) and a black half (lower) with a central scene in yellow/gold of a half of a gear crossed by a machete under a star.
